Hi there,

My great grand father was a man named William Blease. I know that he died  in 1909 and lived in Northwich. I am 99% sure that he is not buried in Witton cemetery even though it opened in 1890. I am desperate to discover if he is buried in the old churchyard of Witton church which is adjacent to the cemetery. Does anybody know how I would go about viewing the grave/ burial registers of St Helen's, Witton church?

I don't know if this is the whole burial register as there is no information on the page and I cannot see a way to get to the home page of the site.

Well I have searched right through and can not find my William Blease.

Do you know of a similar online source for the buriel registers of the cemetery so that i can double, double check.

Also, are you a Northwich man Stan? I just have no idea where else he would be buried??

Sorry, I don't know of any other on-line site for the burial registers, but who ever made that list must have had access to it, and no, I'm not a 'Northwich Man'

  The burial records are from Sue Wallworth,she put them up on rootsweb around nov 2003,she also did Great Budworth and also Davenham,mind you Blease family were also around Barnton which i think was also on rootsweb last year, i used to work with an Eric Blease from Barnton.

Hi Adam,

The on-line records are the M.I.'s from the graveyard attached to St Helen's church, not a complete burial register. It may be that your ancestor is buried in the graveyard, but does not have a stone, or the stone was not legible at the time the information was gathered.

It is a pity the title on the site says "St Helen's Church, Witton, Northwich – Burial Registers"
