Ray, Isabella,Hardwick William

Seeking any info on the above who raised a family mainly in Poole Dorset.  Both give Poole as birth place on one census....though Isabella gives Hull, yorks on another and William gives  Monmouth.
Believe they are the same family.
The name Ray comes from birth cert for their daughter Grace  born abt 1887 Poole Dorset.

No marriege cert for this pair...though one in 1880 for a James Hardwick and Isabella Hardwick (and she is with a James on 1901 census.

I cant seem to find which  Ray  family she comes from or which Hardwick family he comes from.

Perhaps I should give up any thought of being a detective ?? Thanks

Could anyone please help? Really need to find Maiden Name/Birth/Marriage for  Isabella who wed William aka James Hardick?  Mother of Grace Hardwick  born 23rd June 1888 in Poole Dorset.
Both give Poole as birth place on one census....though Isabella gives Hull on another and William gives  Monmouth on another..
The birth cert for their daughter Grace  born abt 1887 Poole Dorset reads mothers name as Isabella Hardwick Formerly Ray.  I have seached every which way with that name..  Maybe this was a first married name?

No marriage found for William Hardwick/Isabella.  Just 1880 for a James Hardwick and Isabella Hardwick (and she is with a James on 1901 census.

She is with William in 1881 & 1891 so that marriage is probably irrelevant.  She appears on census with William from 1881, do you have them in 1871

No. They are off the radar in 1871. Maybe she was married to someone else then? She had time? Hence giving Ray on that birth cert? Lots of spellings for Ray though and I've trawled hours over them. Finding her surname is agony. My Granny said when she herself got married she gave her mothers name of (Parmer?) emmbarressed at being first cousins. But her mother was Grace Hardwick 1887 - unless Graces mother ,Isabella wed in that name and it was recalled. But I've searched hours. Nothing. Hard without a surname. Re William and James Hardwick I'm not sure, but is he simply using James/William when he wants to? Ie real name maybe James William Hardwick?  or visa versa. Because I think he seems to be the same man unless I'm missing something. Thank you so much for taking the time to help. Kind regards Rosie

Her first child was registered as Hardwick in 1868 so she appears to have been with William then

You can get mothers maiden name on the early birth registrations on the GRO web site you just need to register if you have not already  (also ages at death)
