Same principles apply no matter what county in Ireland you are doing research. See www.thecore.com/seanruad to find details of townlands, parishes, etc. in Ireland. See also Sligo RESOURCES at top of Sligo board.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi can anyone tell me where Roman Catholic births/baptisms/Marriages would be registered if the people lived in Quarryfield in the 1800's

Many thanks

I have a number of notes from the Kilshalvey baptisms during the 1840s and 1850's; not all give locations but among those that do Quarryfield is included a few times so if you'd like to mention the names I can check these notes for you.

Thank you,
The main name I am looking for is Martin Maye, father John Maye mother unknown to me at this point, also any siblings of Martin.

Many thanks

The name Maye or any other variant form does not occur at Quarryfield among the notes I have nor is it listed in the Tithe Applotment Books or Griffiths's Valuation (1858) however Sligo Heritage lists a number of children born to John May (various spellings) within that parish some of whom may well be Martin's siblings.

Good luck,
