COMPLETED: Filia Pop.
« on: Saturday 19 February 11 16:47 GMT (UK) »
Anybody know what this note means?  I think it says Filia Pop.
All I can find out is that Filia is latin for Daughter.
Also, a lot of entries have a line at the end.  Any ideas about what that signifies.
Finally, one of the entries has the note "The exexutorix removed I can't tell where".  Wonder what that was about.

Filia Pop. stands for Filia Populi, i.e. daughter of the people, which was the euphemism used to denote an illegitimate child.

Hi catleugh,

I think 'removed' is being used here in the less common sense
of moving house. This might be worth a note in the register,
since in the normal way of things, the executrix would have
been charged with paying the burial expenses.

Thanks veeblevort
So it's a reminder of why the burial fees have not yet been paid.
Sounds reasonable.
