Brighouse St Martins Church Memorial Inscriptions
« Reply #37 on: Thursday 17 June 10 19:37 BST (UK) »
Brighouse St Martins Church Memorial Inscriptions has just been completed by the churchwarden

I have the only copy that will be placed in the Huddersfield Library soon.

No Map location of graves head/flatstones has been logged yet! or past known information also no knowledge of who is in the unmarked graves without any stone epitaphs

If you write to the churchwarden at the above church for Memorials or a grave photo and rough location in the grave in the graveyard or contact the Huddersfield Library for writen Memorials as the memorials are surname indexed and soon looked up.

Donations to St Martin's Church always Welcome

Do not contact me.

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Darfield All Saints Burials
« Reply #38 on: Sunday 11 July 10 18:42 BST (UK) »
My other half was just looking at the website for Darfield All Saints parish church (where he was christened) and saw that they have fairly extensive registers for both 'burials' and 'graves' - they seem to share some info.

I thought someone on here might find this of use so here's a link:

Swinton People Tree

http://c.mollekin.net/portal/swintonpeopletree

This website contains name and date transcriptions of all legible headstones within the Churchyard of Saint Margarets’ in Swinton, South Yorkshire (formerly Yorkshire West Riding).  Each headstone transcription is also linked to a photo.

Please note that this website does not contain a record of all burials which have taken place in Saint Margarets’, Swinton - it is only a record of legible headstones still in tact as of 2008/2009 (over 3000).
