Greetings applebottom - yes, I have also been away a bit lately.  But, thanks for responding and I look forward to reading anything you can uncover about Mary and Sam.

The research of Marmaduke Pywell 1775-1843 i found states himself and his wife Susanna Bowman to of conceived 13 children whom one of them is Mary.. Although the information i have states she died in 1887. There other childrens names are:
Thomas
Sarah 1804-1805
Elizabeth 1807-??
Anne 1809-??
Alice 1810-1812
William 1813-1884
Fanny 1816-1886
Charlotte 1817-??
James 1819- 1819

Hello you Pywells with the Benefield connection. I was born in Benefield and go back to William and Millicent. Wiliam married at sixteen I believe and his eldest was Samuel my greatgrandfather. Mary was second child of Marmaduke and Susannah. Not sure of relationship between this William and Marmaduke but buried in adjacent graves in Benefield churchyard I believe but William's inscription very unclear. William important name in my tree and a grandfather clock had to be passed on to a William,

Interesting lot these Pywells. How several generations stayed in the Benefields(Upper and Lower)
and others dispersed. Guess that is what families do.

Hi Nicola Pywell, Tony Pie and Ruskie - my apologies for not responding to you earlier.  Some health issues have kept me out of circulation for a while, but I hope to get back into family matters in the near future - meanwhile I will take a closer look at all the info you have provided and try to update my findings.

Thanks again guys...

Hi, I’m new to this site, or at least I haven’t been on it for 10 years plus.  Good to see enquiries about the Pywells.  Marmaduke is one of mine, his daughter Fanny married a Francis  and moved from Benefield up north to Stockport. I can go beyond Marmaduke to his dad William b1750-1814, his dad william, 1728 and his dad William 1697. This Williams wife was a Dorothy Percival.  I have been to Benefield, the church is great
