occupants of 28 deal st salford 1866
« on: Friday 25 February 11 12:20 GMT (UK) »
Hi Im looking for information on the occupants of 28 Deal Street Salford in 1866, to be more precise on 20th August 1866. I am looking for help in tracing a John Robert Robinson who was born at this address on the above date. From info on his birth cert his mother was Ann Robinson but there is no further information on the certificate as father etc is left blank. Were they still at this address in the 1871 census? Any help would be appreciated

Hi Tony,

Looks as if they are at 22 Deal St by 1871, with Ann recorded as Hannah:

22 Deal St
John Robinson, stage keeper?  [??? not sure what it says] b. 1803 Skerton Lancashire
Mary Robinson, b. 1803, Lancaster
John, son, unmarried, dyer b.1843 Salford
Hannah, grand-daughter, unmarried, b 1848 Salford
John Robt. Great-grandson, b. 1867 Salford

Four generations under one roof! Wish mine would do that more often

 :) Barbara

PS occupants of no 28 were Sarah Prince married age 45, sonsFrederick age 9 and Adolphus Peter age 4
LANCS:  Greenwood, Greenhalgh, Fishwick, Berry,
CHES/DERBYS:  Vernon

Hi,

I think we have been here before although not quite the same request.  So just for information and to save any duplication see:

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,501307.0.html

Unfortunately the most you will find for 1866 is a possible listing for the head of the household in a directory.

Regards,
Mo

Cheers Mo!  :D

I'd found this entry for 1851 just before you posted, so might as well list it here as I don't think it was on the other post

Thanks for all the replies, and yes I have posted similar before but this time im on a slightly different tack with a distant relatives info. Im going to print all the replies and study them in detail, and send copies tomy relative  and see if we can somehow piece this all together. Ive been stuck here for over a year now and Ive been trying many different options.
Once again thanks for the input, its very much appreciated
