My earliest Marshall ancestor is Wilson Marshall, baptised 16/12/1817 in Everingham. His father's name was Anthony Marshall no Mother's name given. Seems a coincidence could possibly be another child of Anthony & Isabella or another Anthony Marshall living in Everingham at the same time. Wilson
married Mary Sutton in North Newbald in 1839. Interestingly one of his children was Thomas Salton Marshall born 1846. I wondered if you have found any links to a Salton family and if you have any knowledge of Wilson Marshall. Your help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you for the information. I received the baptism details I have for Wilson Marshall from a relative but it's such a long time ago and she was quite old at the time. Wilson's first child was named Elizabeth so this looks promising. It may be that Elizabeth named Wilson after the father so maybe I need to start searching Wilsons also the Salton middle name of Wilson's eldest son Thomas is intriguing.

None of the two children Wilson or Anthony say Elizabeth Marshall, single women or bastard child of, there is a George and Elizabeth having children in Holme on Spalding Moor did wonder if he George Marshall was a Shepherd at this time?
