There was an Arthur BAXTER   a Fish Merchant on Grimsby Docks in the 1930's .
I am told he lost the business in a card game to my Gt Grandfather Alf Atkinson

Alf definitely owned and ran Arthur Baxter Fish Merchants

Did he have a brother called THomas and did Arthur live at 2 St Georges Terrace, Grimsby in the 1880's and 1890's?

Hi Sonia,

I'm a member of the Baxter Clan, (Barking end), Charles Thomas Baxter was my 3xgt Grandfather, my Nan being a Baxter/Ward from Barking. I'm really interested in fishing industry/sailmaking etc and would be happy to share info I have with regards to the family

Kind regards Kim
