Hetherington/Hurst
« on: Sunday 27 February 11 10:33 GMT (UK) »
In 1818 Mary Hetherington married William Hurst born 1791. They lived on 24 acres of Toppit mountain west of Tempo. They had 6 children. George b1822,thomas b 1824, William b 1830 ,Grace,Mary Jane b1836 and Elizabeth b 1838. I am related to William and we have been able to build up a picture of his family. Would love to learn more of the Hetherington or other Hurst families.

I think it was Mullyknock.
of their children Grace married William noble of ballyreagh on 3/4/1856 at tempo church.I have not found when she died. Mary Jane married a William Ford and had 3 children Charles, william and Thomas. Elizabeth died 1861.We know what happened to the 3 hurst brothers and their line. But would be good to laern about the Hetherinton line or the famalies the girls married into.

Hi,
It may be a typo on your part but my source shows that Mary Jane Hurst married CHARLES Ford in Tempo Church of Ireland on 24 May 1859. This was the same church where her sister married in 1856.

by way of update but also another query.

Grace Hurst later Noble died5 July 1866 Enniskillen and is buried in the Noble plot ( large plot with railings round it) at Garvary Parish Church.

Her Sister Mary Jane Hurst later Ford died 26/4/1881 age 45 from a tumour. She had in fact 3 sons but I know nothing of the first--William who would have been born between 1861-1863. Most Likely Lisbellaw as his brothers. grateful for any information.

Of his brothers George T Ford dies Dec 1918 Prestwich ,Lancashire.
Charles d 13/9/1891 Drumderg  Co Fermanagh  at his Uncle William Hurst's home after a long illness.

Any information about the brother William Ford would be graet.

Many thanks.
