Several of the baptism certificates I've received actually say 7 days old, 18 days old, etc - as you say didn't give actual date of birth - but maybe close enough - but I take you point!

In what country was your cousin's experience Aghadowey?

Sometimes you are very lucky if the vicar has entered the DOB in the margin,but overall of the 20 baptisms I have in my family tree only 8 have the DOB entered.

Oz. Wouldn't you be better off with your birth certificate than baptismal certificate if you need this for a passport application?

I think he would just like his baptism cert,like I did last summer  ;D

I suddenly realised that I'm getting them for all my 19th century ancestors but didn't even have my own.
