Hi looking for information about Concannon's
My Grandfather William John Concannon was born in Glasgow in 1915, his father was Edward Concannon and mother was Agnes Cuthberson, as far I know they lived in Glasgow. just looking for information about any brothers and sisters my Grandfather had, or any information on any concannon's from Glasgow or Ayrshire, also think there was a great uncle that went to Ontario, Canada.

looked on Scotland's people and cant get the birth/death certificate or information about Edward and Agnes Concannon's children-
. Edward Concannon born 1911/1912? Glasgow went to Canada to live???
. Mary Ann Concannon born 1913 Glasgow

I know William John Concannon born 1915, he was my grandfather.

Due to data protection issues, the cut off dates to be able to view birth certificates on line on Scotlands People is currently 1910, increasing by one year every year (100 yr rule). Birth certs after this date need to be ordered.

Edward born c. 1912 looks to have headed off to Canada as a young 17 yr old, arriving at Montreal in August 1929.  Contact address for the UK is his father, Edward Concannon, living at 802 Garscube Road Glasgow. Possible further reference to him being brought to Canada by the British Immigration and Colonisation Association on another index (would fit with the age of the boys on the shipping manifest where Edward shows, average ages 16/17 for the other boys).

Just seen this post as I'm new to the site. I believe your Grandfather William John was my Grandfathers brother, his name was Alexander (Sandy). I have some some files which I will take a new look at and see if i have any info you can use. Derek Concannon
