Link: Maps of East Yorkshire
« on: Sunday 29 June 08 19:47 BST (UK) »
Visited the treasure house in Beverley on Saturday, they gave me the link to their scanned map library. Apparently it's very hard to find if you look on the website

http://treasurehouse.eastriding.gov.uk/

The links to the maps do take a little working out and I had to install SGV viewer and the DjVu plug in

Most areas have maps for 1890, 1910, 1927

Attached small example, I don't think it will breach any copyright

Apologises if link already posted

Walford  Staffordshire,Yorkshire
Boyes     Beverley, Hull
Allison     Beverley, Hull
Bowser   East Yorkshire
Etherton Sussex

I have now uploaded a street plan of York, circa 1935, for the benefit of members with an interest in the city. This is available, along with other maps, at http://www.artus-familyhistory.com/York%201935/York%201935.html
No restrictions on downloading or using copies.
