Hello,

The boy in this photo is my Great-Grandfather and he was born January 1898, so I'm guessing this was taken around 1902???

Also, i'm intrigued to know why him and his sisters were wearing those 'banners' (I know that's the wrong word haha!) and also what they represent?

Probably some sort of friendly society or temperance group etc. - I can see "Women's Branch" written on the girls' sashes but can't make out anything else. 

Any chance of a high-res/bigger scan of the words on the sashes?

Hmmm...Henry Studio is not in the London photographers database. 1902 isn't a bad guess, it certainly could be.
