William Waters b 1897
« on: Monday 28 March 11 08:13 BST (UK) »
Help!!!! I am trying to trace info on my husbands great-uncle. William waters was b 13/02/1897 in Broxburn, Scotland. He emigrated to Canada, Austin to be exact, around 1920 I think. He was a barber to trade. He married twice, firstly to Mary Barr and when she died he married Allison Mair OR Muir of McGregor. They had two sons Philip and Richard. This info I managed to get from an obituary in the Brandon Daily Sun dated Aug 19 1957. It is a bad copy and most of the obituary is illegible. Also any info on his brother Peter Waters b 09/08/1891 who married Isabella Beveridge 16/07/1913 in Glasgow. He also emigrated to Austin where he was a postmaster. Don't know if they emigrated at the same time or not!

Thank you so much for the information that you have supplied me with. We knew is final residence was Austin but when and how he got there was a mystery. This info has helped me immensely with my husbands side of the family tree. Once again Sandra thank you so much for your quick response.
Many thanks Andrea J Waters
