EVANS of Harlech/JONES of Llandanwg c 1810-1820

Does anyone have information on Captain Evan EVANS  (b 17??-1820)?  

He was born at Llanaber and became Master of the brig "Fame" of Barmouth 1803-5, then Captain of the schooner "Sally" of Barmouth 1813-17.  He was lost at sea in 1820 on a voyage from Liverpool to America.

He married Ann (nee JONES) (1779-1849) from Llandanwg in December 1810 and had the following children: Ann 1811, Margaret 1814, John 1816-1882 who also became a Master Mariner.  He may have moved to Harlech after his marriage as at least one of the children was born there.
