1881 census he is 25 yrs  she is 27
1891 census he  is 39yrs she is 31
1901 census he is 45yrs she is 41
 if only the knew how they make it hard for us
I am certain I am following same family

I have ladies in my tree who are "flexible" about their age and some who like to switch their names around..........and some who do both.     ::)

possible parents are Francis and Elizabeth Poulter. In 1861 showing an Arthur Poulter born 1857 Beech Hill Berkshire

thanks I had looked at them as possible parents but what put me off was  the counties
In the 81 91 &01 census he is down as Reading Berks as birth place
in searchas them as parents  it has come as Stratfield Saye Hampshire
but looking at map there has obviously been boundary changes over the years as Stratfield Saye Hampshire and Beechhill Berks are neighbouring villages close to Reading
I had come across his sister Fanny staying with married sister Sarah in 1881 census
