WW2 Bomber Cockpit
« on: Tuesday 12 April 11 12:50 BST (UK) »
Can anyone identify the attached aircraft cockpit for me from WW2.

The pilot is a relative who was killed over Germany in bombing raid in July 1944.
He was in RAF Squadron Bomber Command and obtained the rank of Flight Lieutenant and won the DFC and Pathfinders Badge Award. He trained in Canada.

The cockpit and controls are too simple for a Lancaster bomber, so I guess it must be  trainer of some sort.

All help appreciated  :)

Hi Tony,

It looks to be very similar to an Avro Anson. Certainly it is only twin engined.
