McLeish.....Jessie m John McIntyre
« on: Sunday 24 April 05 01:48 BST (UK) »
Searching for my mothers history.
The above two married 1858, daughter Ann McLeigh Mc Intrye....b 18/9/1883.....all in Perth.
Anne married a James MILLER ( musical teacher ) in 1889.
Looks like he died 16 Jan 1891 aged 27
Widow Ann MILLAR ( unsure of name change might just be misspelt in records ) then married ALFRED FREDERICK ARCHER in 1897, Ayr Burgh, Dumfries. Both it appears were in service.
They produced, in uknown order, Alfred, James, Rose Ann and Nell. Alfred Frederick is shown as head of household in 1901 census. Appears both he and Ann were middle to late 30's
Son, Alfred Archer then married Jessie Buchan Mclaren,b 1900, Dumfries.  out of James McLaren and I think Annie Cannon, b 1/10/74, out of a GEORGE CANNON and ANNIE STITTE, although there is a Janet featuring here, don't know if mother or previous wife.
Annie Cannon's family are from Kirkpatrick.
Back to Jessie and Alfred Archer, they had four children, Sydney, 1920, Fred 1922, Sheila 1924 and George 1926.
Any imput would be great and I have further info on these names

Thanks for that, I didn't have Ann's siblings, so you have helped fill a void..........cheers
Am having trouble going further back from her parents though !
Many thanks
