Sorry to make everyone ttrawl through all this information again but I have found something really interesting on lancashireBMD this morning. I didnt think that Elizabeth and Frederick had any children together but it seems they had at least one!
I searched for the children to Woods and Charnley between 1860 and 1885. I have tried to add a link but it doesnt work
William Albert 1867
John James 1868
Francis Lily 1870
Frederick Arthur 1871
Edith Annie 1873
All registered Preston Subdistrict Preston and obviously children of Elizabeth and Thomas Woods
Elizabeth Ellen 1874 registered Preston Subdistrict Longton
Thomas died in 1878 so I assume still his child
Blanch Helena 1879
Constance Elizabeth Floyd 1880
Both registered Preston Subdistrict St Peters
Constance was obviously a child of John Williams Floyd She died in 1881 aged 0
Blanch Helena also died aged 0 Thomas's or John's though???
Even stranger in the 1881 census where Elizabeth is living with her brother and John is living in the same house all the above children except Blanch, Constance and Elizabeth Ellen are living with them
(Elizabeth Ellen also died in 1880 aged 5)
but there is yet another child aged 2 Ernest R Woods so he must have been born c1879!!
