Looking for details of a marriage in 1853, at Connington, St Marys,
to a Harriet Smith. thanks, Margaret.

You may already have Wratten under Walter in 1841 living in Conington with WILLIAM Porter, Publican born c 1786, not in County;
HO107/70/2/Conington

1851 Census he is described as a Nephew of Mahalia Porter who is now Mrs Lawson. He is down as Kattan Porter born c 1833, Elsworth, Cambridgeshire;
HO107/1749/405/4

If you can trace William Porters Daughters then you may find his Mother.
So William is possibly the Grandfather and Mahalia is definitely an Aunt.
And she and Husband James are Witnesses at the Marriage to Harriett also.

Census for 1851 for William PORTER, Grandfather born c 1791, Goldington, Bedfordshire a Publican.
Index is a bit confusing but he seems to be with THOMAS Porter born c 1822, Conington;
HO107/1749/405/5
Cornelius born c 1841 is there too as a Nephew to Thomas who is head of Household.

The only Christening in Conington I can find for WILLIAM/ELIZABETH from 1841 Census is;
ANN Porter, 12 July 1812
My suspician is that she may be the Mother of Wratten and Corneluis

Various submitted entries on the IGI have Elizabeth as Nee CHANDLER and William and her Married 23 Nov 1808, Conington, Cambridgeshire
I have no way to confirm this sorry.
