Having re-discovered this thread, after many years, I believe I can now bring about a closure.

I found a burial at St Mary, Scarborough of James Archbell aged 44 of Malton, on 15 October 1822.  I initially put it into my "miscellaneous Archbell" folder.  Then I found a newspaper entry for Susannah Archbell's death in Bath, 12 September 1844, in which it said that she was the widow of the late Mr J Archbell of New Malton, Yorkshire.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

I've just seen this thread in the recent posts, and I wondered if you'd come across the Bath Burial Index at
https://www.batharchives.co.uk/bath-burial-index

Free to search, and it shows Elizabeth Archbell and Solomon and Amelia Bettie all in the same plot. She was the only Archbell, but I didn't try variants or do any searches specifically for Bettie etc.
Researching among others:
Bartle, Bilton, Bingley, Campbell, Craven, Emmott, Harcourt, Hirst, Kellet(t), Kennedy,
Meaburn, Mennile/Meynell, Metcalf(e), Palliser, Robinson, Rutter, Shipley, Stow, Wilkinson

Rosie - exactly!!!

arthurk - many thanks for that.  Elizabeth and Amelia were the only two children of James and Susan/Susannah.  Elizabeth and Solomon didn't have any children, so I think that would complete the line-up.  However, I wonder where Susan/Susannah is buried.  :-\
