Need help with the family of James Maxwell in Upper Glenarm Barony, parishes of Kilwaughter, Carncastle, Larne and Grange of Killyglen.
Per LDS records, James (born 16 Dec 1727) married Sarah McFarlin 11 Apr 1751 and had following children: Jane (13 Oct 1752), William (09 Feb 1754), Rose (06 May 1755), Sara (25 May 1757), Margaret (27 Feb 1759), Samuel (05 Nov 1760), Martha (29 Sep 1762), William (24 Oct 1771). All from Rosemary St Church, Belfast.
He also married Margaret Johnston 19 Aug 1788, Rosemary St. Church, Belfast. They had children John (abt 1799), James (abt 1803), Charles (abt 1805), Hamilton (age 1812), and Elizabeth (abt 1814) [Per tombstone information and will of John Maxwell]
James had a brother William (18 Jun 1730). Their father was Arthur. James died Oct 1810 and is buried in Carncastle Church of Ireland Cemetery.
I found a lease of land in Grange of Killyglen 1779 with the 6th Earl of Antrim, Randal William to James Maxwell who also lists his three sons, Samuel, William, and Robert.
The next information I found in in the Hearth Money Rolls: Samuel, Ballykeel, Kilwaughter Parish and Robert, Killyglen, Grange of Killyglen
I then found these families in the 1851 census, but I don't know where they all fit. Can anyone help?
Arthur and Mary Maxwell, Druminadonaghy, Kilwaughter Parish
John and Jane Maxwell, Ballytober, Carncastle Parish
William and Jane Maxwell, Ballygalley, Carncastle Parish
Joseph and Ann Maxwell, Killyglen, Grange of Killyglen Parish
Mary (Maxwell) and Andrew McNeill, Killyglen, Grange of Killyglen Parish
Jane Maxwell, Larne, Larne Parish
Sally Maxwell, Droagh, Carncastle Parish
Robert Maxwell, Droagh, Carncastle Parish
Other sources:
William and Jennifer (Legg) Maxwell, married Larne
Robert and Margaret (Evans) Maxwell
Catherine (1 Mar 1865) to William and Jessie (Adam) Maxwell in Larne
Louisa (4 Jan 1864) to Richard and Margaret (Cowdy) in Larne
I can't find birth/marriage records for those in 1851 census. This is a big brick wall that I have hit. Don't know if they are all related or not.
