i do have a ancestry reason for enquiring about this new bar honest  ;D

my ancestor dickie dodds lived and owned a bar at this location during the 1950's. i have his address as 150-152 north prominade blackpool. when i googled this address it came up with nellie deans. i would love to know if anyone remembers it as it used to be and if anyone has any pictures of the old cafe/bar.ice cream parlor.

I can provide the following list of the surrounding properties to Dodinos Cafe, that were operating in 1952.

146 North Promenade: Maspeo, Ladies Tailor and Costumier;
148     ".            ".           : Masters, House Furnishers;
150     ".            ".           : Dodino's Cafe;
160.    ".            ".           : Shirley Private Hotel;
162.    ".            ".           : Lancashire County Council Divisional Planning Office.

I would suggest a search on Historical Photographic Sites, for Blackpool, and trying to identify some of the above 1950's Properties, might provide the results, You are looking for.

Kirkham, Garlick, Worthington, Shaw, Bamber. Fylde Coast
Naylor/Nailor, Lyons, Wilkinson. Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire
Redfern. Cheshire/Derbyshire
