Have you got their marriage certificate?

What did Arthur do for a job?

How old was he when he got married?

HI
Who did your grandmother go to stay with? You say the family was split but where did your garndmother grow up.
Need more basic info like CU as asked you. Smith is like Jones. Have you found Lucy Addis on any census I see they did not get married until the 4th qtr 1901 so she must be on the census, and what of arthur on that census could the children have gone to aunts or uncles. finding them both before marriage may just show you who his and her siblings where, or family further apart.
Just a thought
cheers cardiff ???
