Edward Thady Corcoran born 1857 Roscommon

Would be grateful if anyone can find any information about my great- grandfather Edward Thady Corcoran before 1881. He was born in Roscommon Ireland in 1857 but emigrated to England- Ashton in Makerfield near Wigan in Lancashire - at some stage before 1881. The 1881 census has him living with his brother Thomas in Ashton and I think he married someone called Frances in Ashton or Wigan. He was a coal hewer and I have always assumed that he came to England for work.

Frances Roberts and Timothy Corcoran

The certificate would give you his father's name which may help.
