I wonder if this is "your" Robert??

1841
Liversedge Birstall Yks
(Dewsbury reg district)
Robert Rayner 45 carpet weaver
Martha 40
Robert 20 carpet weaver
Martha 20
Mary 15
Samuel 6
Sarah 1
all b Yks
Ho107 1291 7 22 3

Suz

That's them. William Wilson Rayner's birth record lists the sub-district as Liversedge & Heckmondurke. So this would be Robert Jr. & Sr. plus my Great Great Great Grandmother Martha. This is wonderful...

I wasn't aware of the rounding down of the ages which explains some of the mathematical discrepancies in the census.

It is also entirely believable that Betty could have been using the more formal name of Elizabeth in 1861.

1841 census also does not list relationships and only gives "yes" or "No"  as to whether they were born in the county they were living in - unless they were born Scotland =S, or Ireland =I or Foreign parts =F

By the way -it is Heckmondwike -not Heckmondurke
