I was wondering if anyone could help me, I'm having some trouble locating the birth of a Thomas Tune who was born in Skipwith  abt 1826.
I know that his father was also named Thomas Tune, but that is as much as I know.
If anyone can help, I would appreciate it greatly

thanks

Have you found your TT on the 1818 cens??
 I have found an entry for a TT born Skipwith 1826 aged 55 yrs, Boynton Place, 13 Osborne Street, Kingston Upon Hull & St Mary, Yorkshire (East Riding). Occupation Waterman  With wife Martha, children Wm & George
RG11/4773  124  22
Have you found him at Skipwith on earlier census's?????

Baptisms for children of a Thomas & Martha Tune
Elizabeth  5 Mar 1855 Holy Trinity Parish, Hull
Phoebe  15 Jul 1857  Holy Trinity Parish, Hull
Ann       16 Dec 1860 Holy Trinity Parish, Hull
Martha    6 Feb 1863  Holy Trinity Parish, Hull
Martha  24 Jan 1872  St Johns, Hull

Now a possible Birth for a Thomas Tune...with a Thomas father..
Thomas Tune 25 Feb 1827  Epworth, Lincolnshire
Father  Thomas Tune     Mother   Phoebe

...it could be that Thomas and his family moved to Skipwith when he was very young and he believed that is where he was born, OR he could have been - then baptised at Epworth, maybe that is where his mother was from??

there is also a Thomas Tune on 1841 census for Epworth age 14 !!! and another at Crowle age 20!!

All the above are from     familysearch.org

Try this site for Lincs area to see if the TT bap Epworth is yours

Look on Genuki for Skipwith - Parish Registers are held at the Borthwick, York University

Just looked at the 1841 census for the Thomas n Phoebe Tune in Lincs with son Thomas 1827 bap Epworth...
Thomas Tune 40, Boatman
Phoebe 35
Phoebe 15
Thomas 14
George 12
Ann 8
on next page contd
William 5
Mary 3
Elizabeth 1
They are all dittoed underneath Boatman, so they could be living and working the boat. They are all born in County of Census.

Same family on 1851 at Epworth - Thomas snr 48 Waterman, wife 48, but NO son Thomas, son George now 21 is also Waterman
Same family on 1861 at Epworth, Thomas 59, now a Coal Dealer, wife 59  and 2 dau's NO son thomas
1871 at Epworth  Thomas snr 67 Wid. Owner of 1 vessel Living with him dau Hannah Cattle, son in law John H Drappers Ass and grandson Herbert. NO son Thomas

This family look like they have lived in Epworth for most of their lives, which could mean that they had no connections with Skipwith.  But I cannot find a Thomas Tune born Skipwith on census' 1851/61/71 and I cannot find a Thomas Tune born Epworth of the above family on same census's either !!!!  Are these two one of the same??  The sons to the above family also went into Barge work etc..
~~~~~~~~~
Have you found Thomas n Martha Tune on the census' 1851/61/71/91??
Is this their marriage.... Thomas Tune to Martha Butterworth, Hull Sep Q 1854 ???
