Guinery Family
« on: Thursday 12 May 11 04:18 BST (UK) »
I have the basics for this family (very unusual surname)  Samuel married Elizabeth Hicks about 1820 and four children. This spelling is I think a variant.
If anyone could help with where the name may have come from and the original spelling I would be very grateful.

hi galinda
i,ve just had a look at births just using guinery and 26 records show from 1844 to 1958 not a huge amount but it shows that the spelling is probably correct , also looked in familysearch and none appear on there it,s either gunnery or variations on it ,also january and variations , certainly if written phonetically it could be open to all sorts of variations i,m sure .
