hanes teulu.  chariiot st is in city centre paragon pub [ hull cheese] neptune, pub is in paragon st.

The Precincts of Myton
The Act of Parliament gave the boundaries of the Parish; from the west end of Mytongate in the said town along the centre of Castle Street: along Waterhouse Lane to the centre of Waterworks Street: along the centre of Waterworks Street into Carr Lane; and then westward by Carr Lane through Paragon Street into Chariot Street.

See Map. It shows Chariot Street - I think I have heard of Stephenson's Yard 'Colloquially' but can not be sure.
Anyway amp gives a good idea of where about's Chariot Street

 yesterday [ mon] p/m all those names you mentioned where in the city centre .
if there where any yards ithink they would be in water house lane.handy for the docks ect

Although I never met my father as he died when I was a year old, my late mother told me he worked for Stephensons. I think he started work on a horse and rully because my mother used to have one of the brushes he used to groom the horse. During the war he used to take my mother and neighbours out into the country to escape the bombing to a farm at Coniston, they lived quite near to the docks ( Estcourt Street in East Hull) I think at this time he was actually diving a lorry. He later woked for Hull Corporation as a driver.  I am new to this great site.
