Elizabeth Loveridge Born circa1882

I am have a lot of difficulty finding a birth record of my Great-Grand Mother Elizabeth Loveridge.  I have managed to find the following:

1891 Census Cheltenham - claims Birth as Cheltenham
1901 Census Cheltenham - claims Birth as Newbury
1911 Census Gloucester - claims Birth as Newbury
Married to Willam Washbourne 1899
Died in Bath 1966

However I cant find her Birth in Newbury OR Cheltenham.  Incidentally she has several siblings, but in particular is a brother called John who ALSO claims Newbury as his town of Birth (1872) but again no record.

Does any one have a source I can chase down to nail this.  The Gloucestershire BMD lists the siblings but not these 2.

Mother was Susan Scarrott and Father Charles Loveridge.  Should have added that.

Elizabeth Loveridge born 1868 Gloucester.

Thanks for this, but I'm not sure these are the correct persons. 

All indications seem to point to Elizabeth being born circa 1882.  The Elizabeth you managed to find is recording on the Gloucestershire BMD with a mother called Adams, whereas the Elizabeth I'm trying to find has a mother called Scarrot (several spellings of this). 

Alas John is also still proving elusive...The john mentioned was born to a mother called Palmer.

Siblings either side all have the correct mother (Scarrott).  I really appreciate the extra pair of eyes you have given, looking at these 2.

But it seems these 2 people are still hiding in the ether it seems....

More digging I guess....thanks again

Hi Mark,

I had a look at the bmd again and I know its a bit of a long shot, there is a birth for an Elizabeth Loveridge 1882 in Warwick ( Warwickshire) and a birth for a John Loveridge in 1873 in Kings Newton ( which is on the borders of Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire).

Also just had a look at the ancestry site there are several trees on there which have a Elizabeth Loveridge born 1882 Berkshire and a couple of trees with a John Loveridge born 1872 Berkshire.

Rosa Loveridge daughter 9 m b Sutton Courtney, Berkshire

Whoops wrong family of Loveridges, sorry.

On GRU someone has a tree with Elizabeth Loveridge born 1881 Cheltenham and John Loveridge born 1875 Cheltenham.

just wondering if you checked on births listed in name of scarrot? sometimes the women used their surnames rather than the fathers surname, just a thought.

also that a few loveridge's that i have come accross had used their own mothers maiden name of loveridge rather than the fathers who was "stone"......
