John Rennie Completed thank you
« on: Saturday 14 May 11 07:34 BST (UK) »
John Rennie (father of Alexander) was a crofter at Culliecudden, I have narrowed it down that he died between 1871 and 1879 - I have searched through SP and everywhere else I can think off and can't find death cert! Help! ???

Oops! I am working up the page for some reason. I have have answered your question in a p. s. to your other post. Try various spellings. You may find it if you use Rannie or Rainy or another form.

Graham.

I've got Rennie's too (although not connected with yours I don't think) and as GR2 says, it is often written as Rannie.

To cover all the spelling possibilities, have you treid searching r*n*  ?That should give you quite a few possible options.

Hi,

Yes he turns up as Rainnie or Rhinie in 1841 census. I will give that a go. Thanks for the tip, I will let you know if I find it

Cheers
