Hi Keyboard86,

Hi Razzy, I should have queried this much earlier, ie in your opening post you state " Thomas (b1859) Eldest Son (John George b 1878) Birth according to Census is also in Wigton" Does this mean that you do not have a copy of the birth certificate of ie Thomas to confirm that his mother is indeed Eleanor Rogan? Do you indeed have the marriage certificate of Thomas to Eleanor in Jun qtr 1857, the reason I am querying it, is that in Dec qtr 1857 their is a marriage of a Thomas Graham to a Eleanor Henney also in Cockermouth, There is only Eleanor mentioned on the page with 2 gentlemen, but someone very kindly checked out the marriage for me and it is:-

Marriage 31st October 1857 St John's Workington, Cumberland.
Grooms Name Thomas Graham
Brides Name Eleanor Henney
Grooms Father William Graham
Brides Father William Henney

If you do indeed have the important birth certificate for ie Thomas then the above can be ignored!!

Thanks,
Yes I have my ggrandfathers' death registration here in Canada with Eleanor ROGAN as his mother.
I have the Certificate of marriage of Thomas GRAHAM and Eleanor ROGAN in 1857 thanks to the GRO.
These GRAHAMs (and all families) and the whole thing on naming ones' children after themselves, their parents, and so on makes this research so difficult.
Thomas b1859 married Sarah WATSON from Isle. They had their first child and as a family are found in the 1881 census. I have John George birth certificate (1878);
However this is not the George that may be the policeman in Liverpoole.
John George (whom we called George) was born in 1878.
George the brother to Thomas and Charles is born in 1876 according to the census'.
A very tight window.
John George (b1878 s/o Thomas b1859) came to Canada as part of Thomas' family in 1895 (father wife, sons and daughters).
Thomas and Eleanor remained in Cumberland.
So the George (b1876) is who I am trying to find as I have no other male siblings that could have been a brother to Thomas (b1859) who family says was a policeman and in Liverpoole.

Hello

My great-grandfather was called Charles Graham. He was of Scottish descent and lived in Wallasey. The dates of birth fit his, too.

If you would like more info please don't hesitate to ask.
