Samuel Ayers - Southleigh

Hello all,

i am compiling my family tree on a well known website and several members have my 7 x gt granddad, Samuel Ayers, listed as born 1680 but I can find no record of this. I have found what I believe is his marriage to Jane Harris in Southleigh 1702 from parish records.
Any help with confirmation of birth/bap. would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, no baptism details in any of the Witney area regs (I have the 4 OFHS cds).  I have found a death for Samuel Sept 30 1722 Southleigh and his widow (although it says Jean) 25 Jul 1740.

(For info I have also checked WD01-03, CN02, BIC03, BAN03.  If you look at the OFHS website you can find the list of parishes on these cds and rule them out.)

Well that rules out the Witney area so now I will have to look further afield.

I take it you have been checking out the various alternative spellings of Ayers? 
Skewis (Wales and Scotland), Ayers (Maidenhead, Berkshire), Hildreth (Berkshire)
