No wonder I couldn't find him in 1851 - looks as if he knocked a few years off his age.  ;D ;D

          Thank you for the information. The John you found isn't mine. I found my John, baptised 14 dec 1783 Brimsfield. He married Elizabeth Nicholls his 2nd wife in Bisley 1814
