Hi

Can anyone help with a marriage in Ontario for Robert Gardiner Fernie, possibly born in St Monance, Fife in abt. 1894 please? I'm hoping he was a son of Chapman and Barbara Fernie. If not, then I can rule this out.

I've no more than this to go on ... sorry ... but anything will help, one way or another!

There was a marriage for a Robert Gardiner Fernie in the Ontario marriages database but his parents are listed as Alex Scott Fernie and Jessie Stark.

There is a death at ScotlandsPeople for a Robert Fernie who died in 1962 at the age of 68 in St Monance or Abercrombrie, Fife which seems to be the area your Fernie's are from. There's no image. Have you ruled out that death as being for your Robert?

I can rule out the possible Canadian link now thanks to your assistance. I've just checked the SP website and the St Monance Death death is 'my man'.

The information came from another website and needed checking out.
