John Owen married Mary or Jane Davies 1812
« on: Saturday 28 May 11 20:03 BST (UK) »
I have a note that the marriage was in Trefeglwys on 17-1-1812.  I got this from LDS data in the old days when all you could get was barely readable stuff on "rubber" paper, but at least they seemed to contain more information than today's computer records.

If anyone knows of John Owen's marriage, I'd be grateful for any more details - such as her actual name and his and her parents.  He had a son Owen and a daughter Katherine born 1820, in Trefeglwys (or possibly Tyraglas, North Wales).

there's a marriage 17th July 1812 in Trefeglwys of John Owen & Jane Davies. You won't get names of parents on parish marriages, just their parishes & the names of 2 witnesses.

You can get a copy of the parish entry from the archives in Llandrindod Wells

Thanks osprey for the infomation (my confusion between 1 and 7 or Jany & July) are par for the course for the old records).  Thanks also for the links which I will probably make use of in the future when I have collected enough questions together.
