Looking for James Shepherd, Wick

Hi

I would appreciate any help anyone could offer in my search for James Shepherd born 1877 Bridge Street, Wick (Father= William Shepherd b1830 Aberdeenshire, mother = Annie Shepherd (Michie) b 1836 Banffshire).

I have him in the 1881 and 1891 census at bridge Street Wick with his family. He fathered two illegitimate children (James in 1894 and George 1895 with Georgina D Sinclair) both children are registered as Shepherd and James is on the birth certificates. However I can find no sign of him after 1895.

His two children are listed with the surname sinclair in the 1901 census and Mckenzie in the 1911 census as Georgina marries Murdo McKenzie in 1901.

I can find no sign of him in the 1901 or 1911 census (Scotland or England)and i cannot find a death record for him in Scotland or England! (or anywhere else!)

Any help would be much appreciated!!
