Hi Jeff,
Hilda died in BC.
Either Edward, Andrew, or Lloyd also died in BC, maybe Cranbrook, BC,
However not all three brothers just one of the above.
 I do not know who died in Saskatchewan other than Lars and Laura the parents.
The parents died about 1920 the time of the spanish flu.
I have to double check with my sisters, but I think this is Hilda.
Name:
Hilda Taylor
Place Burnaby
Reg. Number: 1984-09-009818
Date: 1984 5 26 (Yr/Mo/Day)
Age:67
Event:
Death
Microfilm #: B13639   (GSU # 2073192)
I will check with my sisters if they remember another uncle or more uncles in BC.
Laure (France);
Graham (Cumberland, England/Grahamsfield, Scotland), Taylor (Orkney);
Rogan, Johnston, McKinney, Irwin, Hamilton (Ireland);
Masters (Wiltshire, England).
Houldsworth (Sheffield, Middlesex)

You have many great leads here. I'm not as accomplished as these Chatters (you guys are great). I haven't noticed it mentioned, so wanted to let you know that I've found little leads & confirmations regarding deaths/burials in Saskatchewan using the site that comes up when I Google Saskatchewan Cemetery Project.

Hey Red,

Thanks for the compliment, the Saskatchewan CEmetery project is a great project but incomplete in parts (i.e. Leask).  The RM office or funeral home at Leask should be able to tell me who has the cemetery map with regards to the Larson's.  If they died due to the spanish flu there may not be a marker placed there..

Btw I see you have a bunch of family roots in Saskatchewan. Are you from Saskatchewan or need any help in any area??

Jeff

That BC death registration is for Hilda Taylor nee Milne b. in Vancouver in 1916 (you can see some of the info on the familysearch website).

Question: was Hilda married to Frederick Marigold Taylor? If so I think I can see her burial in 1999.

If both parents died around 1920, do you know what happened to the children? Were they taken in by relatives?

Regarding the border crossing, I can see one indexed as "Larlson" where the port, at least, is Malone, but that indicates where they crossed not necessarily where they were living and I don't have full access.

Hi Jeff, thanks for the info on the Cemetery Project (I too have found it somewhat incomplete, but helpful at times)& offer of help. I'm in Alberta (parents both moved from Sask, so I suppose I'm one of those called a "gapper"). I've had some phenomenal help from Chatters regarding my Sask roots & will be making a trip to the province this fall as I have hit some walls that might be easier to poke at if I'm on site. TX again for the offer though.  ;D

You are right again, jarose,
Hilda was married to Frederick.
Where did you find this 1999 info as she died in BC?
No, I do not know what happened to the children,
I wondered that when I was typing that yesterday.
I will ask some cousins and see if I can get a response, my sisters might not know.
It may take a while for a response from cousins.
That Malone border crossing is what I found but I am unable to find it again.
Now with the new information you have found previously, with Jakob and Daniel included,
Daniel and Laura being husband and wife, but the children names and ages were right.
razzy

I just found this about Malone from wikipedia:

Malone, New York is the name of two locations in Franklin County, New York, in the United States:

Malone (town), New York
Malone (village), New York
Laure (France);
Graham (Cumberland, England/Grahamsfield, Scotland), Taylor (Orkney);
Rogan, Johnston, McKinney, Irwin, Hamilton (Ireland);
Masters (Wiltshire, England).
Houldsworth (Sheffield, Middlesex)

I saw the death certificate on familysearch for Frederick Marigold Taylor and then went looking for his burial, she is in the same cemetery, along with a son of hers, Lloyd (burial location for all three is the same so they are probably in a family plot)
http://vancouver.ca/commsvcs/NONMARKETOPERATIONS/MOUNTAINVIEW/burials/ta-th.htm
Her death certificate isn't on the online indexes as it is too recent.

According to the Canadian Archives to Malone was one of the border crossing points. They must have gone over there and then taken a train west. It suggest that they were in that general area but not necessarily living in Malone or even NY at all - although if the naturalisation for "Louis P Lerson" in 1904 is the right one I think his address is given as "Richmond, SI" which is probably Richmond, Staten Island (I don't know how/when/where you checked for the children's births but it seems the NY municipal archives might have an index).

 - a possible hint, here is Lars Martinus Pettersen Haram leaving Norway in 1909 stating he is going to see his sons. It unfortunately doesn't say which ship he's on, only that he's travelling with the Canadian line.

Last week I emailed RM Leask. Tomorrow I email RM Leask again. This year is their 100th anniversary.
There is another email addy for Leask (not the RM but this addy is for the village) I am hoping to recieve a reply from the RM on any cemetery project they may have or any LARSON burials in the cemeteries.
Maybe I will find out which church or cemetery took care of congregationailists.
