Mona, I am researching the same family of de Rheims, and received yesterday the actual marriage certificate of Henri de Rheims and Mary Elizabeth McCormick - details match those given on earlier response. This certificate is of the marriage which took place in St Peter's RC church, Woolwich, and obtained from the GRO (scan attached). I also have the reconstituted record of the death of his father, Francois Henri de Rheims who died 13 July 1851, former consul, married (strange, unless he married again, as his wife died in Calais 1854), resident Rue de Grenelle 114, Paris 7e. That too I can send as a jpeg. In case you are not aware of it, in the Probate schedules (I access via Ancestry) that for Henry de Rheims dated 22 Nov 1870 Principal Registry London granted to his son and onlu next of kin John Francis Henry (originally Jean Francois Henri) de Rheims of 2 Bedford Terrace, Plumstead. I have today ordered the actual Will - probably arrive before Christmas.
This family is potentially linked my Pontet family through marriage 16/05/1789 St Eustache, Paris 1e, of Charlotte Augustine Derheims (born Calais 26/03/1771; died Paris 27/10/1805; d/o Pierre Derheims and Margueritte Charlotte Gaudoin), with Jean Baptiste Marie Pontet (1861-1849+). Hence my interest. I think, however, you might be able to help me too. Patrick
