For Mary born in December 1878, the townland looks like Ballinahowna but is probably Ballynahown (South). The informant, ? Costello comes from Invern (sic). These are probably the two townlands, Ballynahown South and Inverin (Inveran), both in the Civil Parish of Killanin.

I can’t find a marriage for Patrick and Catherine Folan. The 1911 Irish census says they have been married for 45 years. No marriage records going back pre 1873.

Thanks so much, Kiltaglassan.  That must be them.  The dates match well to what I know about Mary and Nora.   Maybe the person responding to the census misunderstood the question about the children and just said how many were literally living with them and not how many were alive.
