Also Samuel was the child of David and Hannah Holt.

Ok not much to add really.

Sarah was baptised Mar 25 1894, born Sept 3 1893 at Old.

David was 23 when he married Ellen Elizabeth, she was 20 at Old.

Her father was Joseph.

Samuel signed whilst Ellen E signed her mark.

I think the pot to Jethro (sen) at Scaldwell says died Jun 28 1944
and Frances died April 9 1947.

No grave markers remains for Sarah or Jethro at Scaldwell.

More.  :)
David appears to be the son of Samuel and Ellen Elizabeth
and brother to Sarah.

There is a marriage for a David (Eli) Holt to Ellen Elizabeth Neville in 1911.

Ellen Elizabeth died and has a stone in Old Churchyard noted as
19 February 1941 aged 52.

Husband David is noted as died 30 September 1959 aged 72.

Ellen Elizabeth (Neville) having been born 1912.

Old Churchyard

Winifred Phoebe Holt died 25th Mar 1996 aged 76 and
David Edward Holt died 19 Sep 2005 aged 93.

Just seen this post, but as it is 4 years old - I may be a bit late!  Ellen Elizabeth Holt (nee Neville) was my granddad's sister.  Apparently she did a runner as soon as she was old enough, but didn't stay in touch with her family. Quite sad really as she had two brothers and a half sister.  Eldest brother was my granddad, Alfred John who died young from hereditary kidney disease, younger brother William Garlick was killed in action on the first day of the battle of the Somme (WW1). Half sister Edith (Auntie Edie), bit of a mad old bat, but always lovely to us when we were kids.  Apparently no-one got on with wicked step-mother and my granddad left home too, but only to the next village  ;)  The family are from Mortimer, Berkshire and I have just traced Ellen through Ancestry.  Regards to anyone who might be (slightly) related to me  :D

Good morning Melissa. I do not have anything re the marriage of Sarah Holt to Jethro Warner. Are we talking about the same Jethro?. My great grandfather on my fathers side was Jethro Warner b. Oct 1860 Scaldwell Bap. 15 Jan 1861 marrried Frances Dunmore b. 9 May 1863 Hazelbeach married 18 Oct 1881 Hazelbeach. I have his parents as James Warner b 1826 Scaldwell and Ann Warren b 1828  Weedon Beck. Can anyone confirm please that Jethro Warner served in the Queens Royal West Surrey Regiment during the Boar War army number 5341? I have a picture of Jethro and Frances in our family archive showing one of their sons (Lenard b. 1904) wearing that regiments cap badge on his Jacket collar and assume it was his fathers badge. I now have Frances' parents as William Dunmore b. Jan 1834 in Rutland and Harriett Burdett b. 1835 Rutland they married 10 Nov 1859 Oakham, Rutland. Regards, ELJP
