Keogh
« on: Monday 13 June 11 15:27 BST (UK) »
Looking for information on Dennis & Mary (nee Carroll) Keogh, Dennis would of be born in the early 1800's as he and Mary had at least 9 children.  On one of there daughters Maria Keogh's dc states that she came from Sixmilebridge Co Clare.

Thanks   ;D

Full civil registration did not start until 1864 so you would need to search for any available parish records for details of the family. To do this you would need to know the family religion and which parish the family lived in.

See the resource topic at the top of the Clare board for specific details on
the county : Clare Resources & Links

RC parish records (baptisms and marriages) for the parish of Sixmilebridge go back to the late 1820s. For details on dates covered, and availability of research resources - see RC of Parish of Sixmilebridge   (Irish Times)

here are the details of the records available for the RC parish of Sixmilebridge (Irish Times)

Unfortunately none are online at the moment, and it doesn't look like LDS have any films for this parish.

just noticed I posted that information before...

the links mentioned in the posts above show some online details, but mainly have notes of what records exist, and where they are located.

Only a few scattered parish details for Co. Clare are available on line at the moment, and these are listed in the Resource Topic or on the Clare Library Website.

For further RC records your would have to either visit the National Library in Dublin to view the microfilm mentioned on the Irish Times website or hire a researcher to do it for you .. assuming the dates covered go back far enough.
