Curation in Latin - help needed please
« on: Friday 17 June 11 20:07 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I have received a Curation dated 1729 which unfortunately as well as being in Latin is very hard to read not being very clear.

It may be for 2 children Thomas & John Wyles whose mother was called Frances late of Bonwick, York Diocese. I can see the name of William Cayley who was related & another William whose surname has been obliterated by an ink blob.

Would they mention 2 people for curators?  Was this normal practice?

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Many thanks
