Looking for any ideas on what an Irish surname spelt KACORING might actually be. My great grandfather John Galligan married in Queensland Australia in 1888. His marriage certificate says he was born Castlerahan, Cavan, Ireland and his parents were Bartley Galligan and Sarah Kacoring. I have not been able to find any reference to Kacoring in any Irish records. All ideas welcome.
