Lehane/Daley
« on: Monday 27 June 11 13:37 BST (UK) »
Hi all,
I am relatively new to this site so forgive any silliness! ::)

I have a record of John Lehane marrying Katherine Daley in Dowlais on 1st December 1934 in a roman catholic chapel.  My question is, would there be any record of either mother on the marriage record somewhere?  The certificate only has father and I want to be sure that I am tracing the right family.  (see my Cork post: Lehane last week).

Thanks in advance for any help
 :)

Hi

Unfortunately - mothers names are never shown on English or Welsh marriage certs

Scottish marriage certs show both plus mothers maiden name - much more helpful when researching!!

Do you think that there might be any parish records that might have something?

What ages were they both when they married?

If they were born before the 1911 Irish census - you could check it for more info
