Hi

Presume you are looking for info re: marriages/children/deaths of those children - is that correct?

A good starting point would be the 1911 Scottish census to confirm if they were all still in East Lothian at that time

www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

The same website can be used to search for their marriages etc

You will need to purchase credits as SP is a pay site

Thanks Carole, I have searched on S.P., but as the names are common names I just can`t locate them at all.I am beginning to think they have emigrated! I was hoping someone would recognise the names as I have been searching for months now but no joy.I appreciate your interest. E.P.

I wonder if these O'Briens in Dunbar were related to Agnes O'Brien who married Thomas Stephenson in 1821 in Yester parish, East Lothian. O'Brien wouldn't have been a common name in East Lothian. I think I know who Thomas Stephenson was but I haven't a clue about Agnes O'Brien.

The couple had a son called Joseph in 1822 and a daughter called Margaret in 1824. Then they disappear from the Scottish records. The Thomas Stephenson I'm thinking of became a surgeon in Alnwick, Northumberland, but I don't know what his wife's name was.
