My G,G,G Grandfather was General John Greenstreet of the East India Company

General John Greenstreet became a cadet in 1795 and arrived in India 4 March 1797 ----  a Ensigne 22 Nov 1798 ---- Lieut  30 Oct 1797--- Capt  10 Jan 1805 --- Major 25 Apr 1810 ----  Lt, col. 25 jan 1815 ---- Lt Col Comdt. 1 May 1824---- Col, 5 June 1829 ----Maj. Gen. 10 Jan. 1837---Lt. Gen. 9 Nov,1846 ---- Gen. 20 June 1854.

He was a distinguished officer who saw much active service during his long Indian career which commenced with his arrival in Bengal 1797.
Greenstreet Commanded many Battalions,
 he was listed as Col of the 60th  N.I

I would like to find pictures of the uniforms worn in India,
and any other information about the life of an Officer/General with the EIC
