How to disengage from a thread?
« on: Saturday 02 July 11 09:43 BST (UK) »
Sorry, I cannot find the answer in FAQs or elsewhere.
If I have contributed a reply to a thread and later do not wish to be notified of new additions to that thread, how can I sever that link, please?

You can certainly turn off notifications for a thread but it will still appear in Show new replies to your posts. at the top of the page.

If you ignore the notification and don't open the thread you won't get any more notifications for that thread.

In your profile information, Edit the Notifications and email and Uncheck the bottom choice.  You never need to receive email notification again, just check your "Show new replies to your posts" instead.
