Just put up the Irish details for futuire ref, and to point out that you need to check for variants.

I had a quick search in UK records and could not find any matches. You really do need to find her first marriage to get her father's name, and then proceed backwards.

Can you expand a bit more on the info you have given? Siblings, etc.

Thanks for the replies.  No, I have not found marriages records of either Phyllis and Mark Webb or Phyllis and Jams Manley-Smith.  Phyllis died when my dad was young so we have no info regading siblings or other family members.

Hi again

I don't know if this is useful, but the Lestange family once owned Hunstanton Hall in Norfolk which was converted into flats in 1954.  My dad did contact someone many years ago who was looking into the family but he couldn't find any record of a Phyllis and it was he who gave the Irish/Australian link.
